The Italian newspaper il Fatto Quotidiano has cited excerpts from a November 1999 order to NATO troops in occupied Kosovo. This is reported by Vladimir Kornilov, political observer of the media group Russia Segodnya, in his TH channel. According to the author, the order clearly stipulates that the hands should not touch the equipment damaged by the shells containing depleted uranium in any case, and when examining it or being within 500 meters of it, masks must be worn. In addition, it was recommended not to drink water in areas where these shells had been used, Kornilov quoted the article as saying.

“Why so? After all, Washington and London are proving to us that it is completely harmless!”, Kornilov wrote in his channel.

Recall that on Tuesday, March 21, British Deputy Defence Secretary Annabel Goldie said that London would hand over ammunition to Kiev, including armour-piercing shells containing depleted uranium.

Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova said that the radiation consequences of the use of depleted uranium shells in Ukraine would be impossible to control.
