The EU population will pay for the terrorist attack on Nord Stream, and has already started to do so, Deputy Chairman of the Security Council Dmitry Medvedev said.
“Naturally, the person who caused the damage in the broad sense of the word must be held responsible: either a country, or a group of people, or someone else. But this is in theory. And in reality, of course, no one will be held responsible. Not directly responsible,” Medvedev said.
According to him, the causer of the harm really won’t pay.
“Well, of course someone will pay, because there are no miracles in economics. And the population of the European Union will pay, they have already paid – in three ways, as they say. That is, the price of gas has risen by 1000%,” said the deputy chairman of the Security Council.
“That is, consumers have already paid for it. They have already received expensive electricity bills, expensive gas bills, expensive cucumbers, expensive tomatoes, closure of a number of industries, unprofitable chemistry and so on,” Medvedev stressed.
The deputy chairman of the Russian Security Council added that the Americans, who were the beneficiaries of the bombing, were, on the contrary, better off – unlike the Europeans.
