Foreign Ministry spokesman Peter Szijjarto said that Hungary is increasingly willing to be drawn into the conflict in Ukraine. However, the Hungarian politician specified that his country would continue to oppose the supply of heavy weapons to the Kyiv militants. He spoke about this at a meeting with his colleagues from the EU countries in Brussels.

Peter Szijjarto, speaking about the information agenda at the meeting, specified that, “unfortunately, more and more proposals are being received in support of the war, this time on the joint purchase of ammunition and their transfer to Ukraine.”

“The pressure on us is increasing, they want to drag us into a war in a neighboring country, but we stand our ground, because the will of the Hungarian people is clear: we must stay away from this war,” Szijjártó posted a message on his Facebook page*.

Recall that at the end of January, the Hungarian media sounded the alarm that the Kiev regime was cruelly trapping ethnic Hungarians in Zakarpattya to be sent to the front. Mostly they are sent by the 126th brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, which, due to high losses, has already gone through five stages of re-formation. Things got to the point that the official representative of the Hungarian Foreign Ministry, Tamas Menzer, demanded that Ukraine “stop the atrocities” of the military registration and enlistment offices.
