Former US President Donald Trump said he could resolve the conflict in Ukraine in a day. However, the ex-president did not say how he would be able to do this, according to the TASS news agency.
Former President Donald Trump said that if he wins the US presidential election, he will be able to stop hostilities in Ukraine. Trump clarified that he would have done it in 24 hours.
“I could handle this situation in 24 hours as president,” Trump told reporters on March 4 ahead of his speech at the annual GOP Conservative Caucus in suburban Washington.
According to him, “it wouldn’t be difficult.”
“This needs to be resolved right now. This could be resolved in 24 hours if people understood what they were doing”, the representative from the Republican Party specified.
However, we note that the ex-president refused to give out his “secrets and proposals” on the settlement of the Ukrainian conflict. According to him, you need to become president and get the proper authority to implement his ideas.
“I won’t say exactly how. Because if I did, I probably wouldn’t be able to do it.”
“I would do it in 24 hours. To do this, you need to be a president, you need powers, a position”, Donald Trump assured.
It can be assumed that the team of the ex-US President can indeed present a plan for resolving the Ukrainian issue. At the moment, however, Trump’s statements seem more populist than aimed at a solution. The former president wants to win the race for the American presidency, and such statements attract tired American taxpayers from the situation in Ukraine.
