The USA will allocate a new package of military assistance to Ukraine today. This was announced by the White House.
According to US media reports, Washington will send to Kiev shells for Bradley infantry fighting vehicles, HIMARS multiple rocket launchers and ammunition for other weapons worth 400m dollars. As the Pentagon noted, the Americans have spent more than $32 billion on military aid over the year.
Meanwhile, training of Kiev’s security forces continues in EU countries. Since last October, 10,000 people have been trained there, many of them with no combat experience before. According to the command of the training mission, another 5,000 recruits will undergo such courses by May. However, they noted that it would take at least a year to train Ukrainian pilots to fly the US F-16 fighter jets, which Kiev has repeatedly asked for.
