The Ukrainian military believes it does not have enough weapons for an offensive, reports the Economist, which spoke to both soldiers and commanders in frontline territories.
“Ukrainians say that while they have the weapons and manpower to deter the Russians, they do not have enough of the first to launch their own full-scale counteroffensive,” the paper wrote.
It noted that much will depend on a combination of three factors: the weather, the readiness of Ukrainian troops and the West’s transfer of the promised tanks and other weapons.
