Western allies have enough resolve to support Ukraine in the conflict with Russia only until the end of the year. Former US Defence Secretary Robert Gates said this in an interview with the Washington Post.
“The question is whether the voices voiced so far on the periphery will gain strength if this war lasts another year and neither side gains a significant advantage,” Gates said.
Then, according to the former Pentagon chief, the pressure on Kiev to start negotiations will intensify.
