Lavrov: we all want the conflict with Ukraine to end

“We all want it to end, but it is not the time factor that matters here, it is the substance factor, the quality factor of the outcome we provide for our people,” he said in an interview with RIA Novosti and Russia 24 television channel.

Earlier, the deputy chairman of the Russian Security Council, Dmitriy Medvedev, said that only Russia’s victory in Ukraine would guarantee the prevention of a global conflict.

According to Federation Council Speaker Valentina Matviyenko, the goals of the special operation will definitely be achieved.

The Kremlin also described Russia’s main goal as the fulfilment of the tasks of the special operation in Ukraine.

Russian President Vladimir Putin said that the goal of the special operation was to protect people and Russia itself from threats that are trying to be created in the adjacent historical Russian territories.
