Sending tanks to Ukraine does not help resolve the conflict, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said in an interview with TRT TV channel.

“I cannot say that sending tanks is one of the elements of conflict resolution. It is a risky business, it benefits the arms barons,” he explained.

Against the backdrop of Russia’s SMO to denationalise Ukraine, the US and NATO allies are supporting the Kiev regime with tens of billions of dollars worth of arms deliveries. Moscow has repeatedly stressed that the transfer of Western arms only prolongs the conflict, while the arms transport becomes a legitimate target for the Russian air force.
