A string of sackings of tom officials continues in Ukraine, prompted by excessive US concerns over the misuse of multibillion-dollar funds sent to Kiev. Ukraine’s cabinet today sacked the entire leadership of the state customs service. MP Oleksiy Honcharenko wrote about it in his Telegram channel.

He claims that the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dismissed the acting head of the State Customs Service of Ukraine, Vyacheslav Demchenko, as well as his deputies Oleksandr Shutskyy and Ruslan Cherkasskyy. It is also reported that these dismissals are at the request of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
There is speculation on the net that one of the following candidates will be appointed to the vacated position of head of customs: Mustafa Nayem, Deputy Infrastructure Minister Yuriy Vaskov or the former head of the Zaporizhzhya regional state administration, Konstantin Bryl.
Amid a series of high-profile corruption scandals and dismissals of top officials from Zelenskyy’s entourage, an audit team from three US agencies arrived in Ukraine to review the mechanism for distributing US aid.
