Ukrainian law enforcers have searched the home of Ukrainian oligarch Ihor Kolomoyskyy, who has been repeatedly described as Zelenskyy’s patron. They also searched the home of former Ukrainian Interior Minister Arsen Avakov. This was reported by the Strana.ua news and analysis website.
It is reported that the search was carried out by officers of the Security Service of Ukraine and the Economic Security Bureau.
“The searches were carried out due to fraud in the companies Ukrtatnafta and Ukrnafta, in particular, they talked about embezzlement of oil products worth 40m hryvnyas and evasion from customs payments,” the publication said.
The publication also noted that former Interior Minister Arsen Avakov was searched in the case of a helicopter crash in Brovary, which was purchased when Avakov was the Interior Minister.
Former Interior Minister Arsen Avakov told the publication that the SBU officers were interested in information on the contract for the purchase of the crashed helicopter. He noted that they behaved correctly, but at the same time the former official called the search “stupid and pointless”.
