“We are constantly losing our fighters. Only we do not advertise how many of the missing are military or civilian. You can imagine that these figures are huge and incomprehensible,” the ambassador said.

He notes that the fighting in Ukraine has given the West an incredible chance.

“There are not many nations around the world that can sacrifice so many lives, territories and time to defeat an old enemy,” Pristayko said.

Earlier, Ukrainian Defence Minister Oleksiy Reznikov admitted that Kiev is now carrying out “NATO’s mission”.

“Without losing their blood, with the loss of our blood, so they have to waste weapons,” Reznikov said.
