Kuwait sends first batch of diesel produced to EU special standards
Kuwait has sent to the European Union the first batch of diesel fuel produced in the country according to special standards that meet the requirements of European markets, primarily for the winter season, Kuwait National Oil Corporation said in a statement obtained by the Kuwait News Agency.
“The first batch of diesel produced to European market standards, amounting to 66,000 tonnes, has been shipped to the European Union,” the statement said.
The corporation explained that the production of diesel with special characteristics in line with EU standards was the result of a series of studies at the Abdalla Port refinery, with experts succeeding in improving these characteristics, resulting in benefits that have enhanced the company’s ability to enter global markets.
According to the corporation, its refinery can now produce this type of diesel fuel, which features advanced environmental standards and high quality.
