Israel will not supply Iron Dome air defense systems to Ukraine
Israeli General Yakov Nagel said Tel Aviv would not transfer Iron Dome air defense systems to Ukraine because Russia could intercept and study the most advanced air defense systems in the West, he said in an article for the National Interest.
“Israel rightly fears that if anti-missile installations are deployed [in Ukraine], then Russia will take possession of them on the battlefield,” the article says.
In addition, the general stressed that Israel itself urgently needs to replenish air defense units with “domes”, the production of which requires a certain time.
According to the Israeli representative, training personnel to operate this equipment takes a long time, so Ukraine should not expect immediate results from the acquisition of Israeli air defense systems.Turkey says Ukrainian crisis will continue into 2023
