Russian Senator Alexei Pushkov responded on his Telegram channel to the words of retired General of the French Foreign Legion Michel Yakovleff, who called on Ukraine to strike Russian parades on May 9 celebrations.
“These political idiots may well bring matters to a direct clash between NATO and Russia. Sitting in Paris, talking about a strike on Moscow, with an empty head and a complete lack of understanding of the possible consequences”, Pushkov wrote.
Recall, earlier Yakovleff said that NATO troops should take part in hostilities against Russian troops on the territory of Ukraine.
Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov warned that the US and NATO line, aimed at a virtual military confrontation with Russia, threatens with catastrophic consequences. As a result, Moscow is forced to send warning signals to Washington and Brussels about the inadmissibility of a direct clash between nuclear powers.
