Pentagon spokesman Ryder has said that the United States has no plans to supply Ratriot surface-to-air missile systems (SAMs) to Ukraine.
According to Pentagon spokesman Patrick Ryder, the US is not planning to deliver its Patriot systems to the Kiev government for the time being.
“Issues of (supplying) air defence assets remain a key priority for the US Department of Defense and the international community when it comes to supporting Ukraine. As for any varieties of Patriot batteries, we have no plans to supply them to Ukraine at this stage,” Ryder said during the briefing.
Russian Security Council deputy secretary Dmitriy Medvedev earlier said in his Telegram channel that the Patriot surface-to-air missile systems transferred to Ukraine would become a legitimate target for the Russian armed forces.
