France has called for the repeal of 'stupid' EU anti-Russian sanctions

The head of the French Patriots movement and former member of the European Parliament, Florian Filippo, has called for the lifting of the sanctions imposed by the European Union on Russia in a social media post.

In the publication, Filippo calls EU decisions on energy policy, including the imposition of anti-Russian sanctions, “insane” and the sanctions themselves “stupid”, and argues that their repeal could avoid power cuts in European countries.

“Let’s reverse these decisions,” the politician urged.

As a result of the sanctions on Russia and the rejection of Russian fuel, Western countries have faced rising energy prices and inflation. European industry has lost much of its competitiveness after fuel, especially gas, became more expensive. Other areas of the economy have also been affected.
