In the city of Kremenchug, Poltava region of Ukraine, a monument to the Russian writer Alexander Pushkin was dismantled with the help of jackhammers. It is reported by RIA Novosti with reference to the local newspaper Kremenchugskaya Gazeta.
“Today, a sculpture of Pushkin is being dismantled in Kremenchug. The work is carried out by the municipal enterprise “Improvement of Kremenchug”. With the help of jackhammers, the bust is detached from the pedestal. Then it will be placed in a museum”, the message on the publication’s website says.
Recall that prior to this, monuments to Alexander Pushkin were dismantled by local authorities in Ukrainian Chernivtsi, Zhytomyr and Kharkov.
