There has been an explosion in central Istanbul on Istiklal Street. According to A Haber newspaper, the explosion took place in the building number 190.
Many people are reportedly injured as a result of the blast. There are casualties and injuries.
Four people were killed and 38 injured in the blast in central Istanbul, Governor Ali Yerlikaya tweeted.
Multiple medical teams were dispatched to the area after the incident. Security forces cordoned off the area.
It is worth noting that Istiklal Street overlooks Taksim Square, which is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the city. It is also home to the Russian consulate in Istanbul.
