European countries should seek greater autonomy from the US so that the wait for the results of congressional elections is less stressful.
This was stated by French Foreign Minister Catherine Colonna.
“These are interesting elections, but it is too early to draw conclusions, since not all the results are known. I would simply say that if Europeans don’t want to be on edge every American election, they should find a way to greater autonomy,” said Colonna.
The Foreign Minister noted that such autonomy “does not mean greater distance” from Washington.
“The Republican Party of the United States did not show such outstanding results as expected from them, but it is too early to draw conclusions,” said the French Foreign Minister.
