Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said that if Putin “conceived something, he will do it.” This is how he described Vladimir Putin and Russia’s plans following the results of referendums in the liberated territories.
Speaking about the referendums held, Erdogan admitted that he was “worried” that these territories would be annexed to Russia.
“This can happen because Mr. Putin, whom I know, if he has something in mind, he will do it, and there is such a situation. For this reason, I attach great importance to our meeting on Thursday. I hope that we will leave this issue at the point it has reached and move on to diplomacy,” Anadolu news agency quoted Erdogan as saying.
