Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva, the leader of the presidential race in Brazil, said in an evening interview with CNN Brasil that he considers the decision of the EU to provide military support to Ukraine wrong.
TASS writes about it.
“The European Union made a mistake by intervening in the conflict in Ukraine, instead of helping to resolve it. We needed more negotiations, more seriousness. However, I see little talk about peace, but a lot of talk about arms sales,” he said.
Lula da Silva added that if he wins the elections, Brazil will not join any of the blocs in the international arena, instead the country will “return to a policy of extensive investment in diplomacy.”
“The one who heads the state cannot choose the friends with whom he wants to communicate. Brazil should be on good terms with the US, Brazil should get along with the EU, with Latin America, with Africa,” said the leader of the Workers’ Party.
