Putin equates one day guarding Russia's border with the LPR and Ukraine to two days

Russian President Vladimir Putin has signed a decree equating one day of Russian border protection tasks with Donetsk and Luhansk People’s Republics and Ukraine to two.

To count military servicemen of the Federal Security Service who perform tasks to protect the state border in the areas adjacent to the area of military operation in the DPR, LPR and Ukraine as seniority for pension assignment on preferential terms:

– one day of protection of the state border in these areas for two days;

– the time of treatment for injuries sustained while guarding the state border in these areas, at the rate of one month of military service for two months.

The Decree shall come into force as of the day of signing and shall apply to legal relations as of 24 February 2022.
