Retired US Marine Colonel Mark Kanchian has warned of the consequences of supplying the Ukrainian military with additional HIMARS MLRSs.
The military expert explained that ammunition for them could run out in a few months, The Drive reports.
According to the US representative, 12 HIMARS units are currently on Ukrainian territory. Another 8 complexes are expected to be delivered in the near future, while Kiev is asking the USA to increase the number of sent HIMARS to 100 units.
Mark Kanchian added that with the number of launchers in the range of 12-20, the AFU will not have problems with ammunition for them, the missiles will be sufficient. But if there are more of them, stocks will be exhausted in 3-4 months.
