Thousands of citizens take part in non-partisan protest in front of Moldovan Parliament

People are demanding an end to political persecution of opponents, a halt to price rises and the destruction of Moldova. “Freedom!”, “Resign!”, “We will not give up!”, “Down with dictatorship!”, they chant.

The protest is being held on the principle of a free microphone, anyone can speak.

“I remember 2013, when our schools had their first video monitored baccalaureate. I remember the tears of every child taken out of the exam, I remember the tears of the mothers who asked us to help. Today, the people who arranged such a thing have put their trust in the country. Then they “tanked” the children, today, if we do not unite, they will go to us with you”, – a teacher from Gagauzia Elena Yurchenko shared her memories.

Galina, a pensioner from Cricova, declared: Either I will die at home, or I will die here – I don’t care anymore with such a life. What have we come to? We did not live so badly even after the war. This government does not even allow us to die normally!
