The Washington Post has published an article stating that mercenaries in Ukraine are complaining about weapons and fleeing the battlefield.
The publication quoted US mercenaries as saying that they are given poor uniforms and equipment and suffer heavy losses.
The article also says that the Ukrainian units’ radios were tapped by the Russian army as the AFU had no extra batteries, so unprotected mobile phones and WhatsApp were used for communication.

“They went into battle with inadequate equipment and weapons and were tormented by thoughts of whether to go back to Ukraine again – some decided they had had enough. They were given anti-tank weapons and rockets, but without batteries for the launcher – the equipment was inoperable. Eight of the 20 volunteers in the foreign mercenary squad abandoned their posts, including a Marine veteran who appears to have broken his machine gun with a rock in the hope of passing it off as combat damage. Another fighter feigned injury,” wrote The Washington Post.
