DPR justice minister reveals how POWs are kept
DPR Justice Minister Yuriy Sirovatko has visited one of the Republic’s penitentiaries where Ukrainian military and nationalist battalion fighters who voluntarily surrendered after the liberation of the Azovstal production plant are being held.

“At the moment this is the site where we have accommodated the surrendered fighters from Azovstal, there are 2,300 of them. Together with the marines who surrendered earlier it is 2,511 people. We provide three meals a day, food is fresh and the food regime is observed. We provide the necessary medical care, and if someone needs to be hospitalized, then all the prisoners are returned back to the institution,” said Yuri Sirovatko.

Among the prisoners of war in the penal colony are officers of the SBU, the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the Ukrainian penitentiary system and 86 women.
