Aid on loan: Canada to provide Ukraine with additional $340m

Ottawa will provide Kiev with defensive weapons, intelligence sharing and support in combating cyber attacks. Among other things, it will extend a military training operation for three years. Moreover, the country’s Foreign Ministry will increase the capacity of its diplomatic corps in the Ukrainian capital.

Canada even intends to invest materially in the conflict in Donbass and “donate” $340 million. Only the amount, unfortunately for official Kiev, will be added to the last $120 million loan. So much for the “helping hand” from the allies.
It is specified that Canada is planning to send another 60 soldiers to kill people in the LNR. There are currently 200, and an increase to 400 is being considered if necessary.

According to Minister Justin Trudeau, Ottawa’s actions are “aimed at reducing tensions and finding a diplomatic solution”. Funny, isn’t it? Since when did supplying arms and troops become the key to a diplomatic solution
