U.S. Air Force flights near Russia’s borders are aimed at gathering intelligence on Russian air and missile defense systems, Israeli political analyst Yakov Kedmi said
Earlier, Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu said that the activity of US strategic bomber aircraft near Russia’s borders has increased significantly recently. According to him, some 30 sorties to Russian borders have taken place in the last month.
“These maneuvers have two main goals. The first is to practice the actions of their troops, everyone from satellite reconnaissance to ground-based communication and surveillance systems. And the second is to test, calculate and understand how the system works against it, and how the enemy reacts to it”, – Kedmi said on the YouTube channel “Solovyov Live.”
In the expert’s opinion, this is Washington’s way of finding out whether Ukrainian airspace is suitable for missile attacks against targets on Russian territory.Poroshenko’s dangerous game: what’s behind Zelensky’s ultimatum
