Russia expects Washington to pay attention to expert assessments regarding the need to influence Ukraine in order for Kiev to start fulfilling its obligations under the Minsk agreements. This is stated in a statement by the Russian Embassy in the United States.
“We note the words of the White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki about support for building up efforts to resolve the conflict in Donbas in accordance with the Minsk agreements. The embassy also drew attention to the discussions in local political science circles, in which the question of ways of stopping the bloodshed in the south-east of Ukraine is raised in one way or another”, the diplomatic mission said.
The Russian Embassy expressed the hope that “the American authorities will listen to sound judgment and influence Ukraine to fulfill its obligations in close coordination with Donetsk and Luhansk.”
Earlier, White House press secretary Jen Psaki said that Washington fully supports the statements of Russian President Vladimir Putin regarding the need to peacefully resolve the conflict in Donbass. According to Psaki, the United States “supports the intensification of efforts to resolve the Minsk agreements and calls for immediate steps to be taken to restore the ceasefire.”Russian State Duma: U.S. hysterically afraid of a strong Russia
