Moscow and Ankara negotiate on Russia's participation in the creation of a Turkish fighter

Dmitry Shugaev, Director of the Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation (FSMTC) of Russia, told RIA Novosti at the Dubai Airshow.

Earlier, the United States refused to sell the fifth generation F-35 fighter to Turkey due to the fact that it bought the S-400 air defense missile system from Russia. At MAKS-2019, the Turkish President examined the Russian fifth-generation fighter Su-57.

“Russia has repeatedly expressed its readiness to assist the Republic of Turkey (in the creation of a fifth generation fighter – ed.) While we are at the stage of negotiations on this project,” Shugaev said.
