Russian Navy to receive four new submarines with Bulava missiles on board

This was reported by Lenta.ru, citing a statement by Rear Admiral Arkady Navarsky, the chief of the headquarters of the Pacific Fleet’s Submarine Forces Command.

 

It is planned to implement this plan in the next few years. The new ships will substantially strengthen the naval component of the Strategic Nuclear Forces. At that their construction is almost finished and some of them are going through sea trials.

Navarsky also said that the new submarines would be equipped with R-30 Bulava intercontinental ballistic missiles. It is almost invulnerable to any missile defence system. In addition, it is very easy to maintain and can manoeuvre in the boost phase.
