This was reported by RIA Novosti, citing a statement from the Russian Defence Ministry.

“Combat ships of the Russian Navy and the navy of the People’s Republic of China conducted for the first time a joint patrol in the western Pacific from October 17 to 23, 202,, – ” the statement said.

Ships of the Russian and Chinese navies passed through the Sangar Strait. The sailors practised tactical manoeuvring together and held several training sessions. The warships covered more than 1,700 nautical miles in five days.

The main tasks of the warships were to maintain peace and stability in the Asia-Pacific region and to protect the maritime economic activities of the two countries.

From the Russian side, the Marshal Krylov gauging ship, the large anti-submarine vessels Admiral Tributs and Admiral Panteleev, the Project 20380 corvettes Aldar Tsydenzhapov and Gromkiy took part in the maneuvers.
