Ukrainian veteran activist Volodymyr Zelensky over draft laws that would cut the amount of social assistance and medical care, the PavlovskyNews Telegram channel has reported
Participants in the rally are holding flags of Ukraine and of veterans’ organizations. The list of protesters’ demands includes a personal meeting with Zelensky and the removal from the Verkhovna Rada of bills that would reduce the social protection of Afghan veterans.
“A representative of the OP came out to the protesters and promised to gather representatives of departmental ministries for a round table with veterans to discuss their demands at around 10am”, – the Telegram channel reported.
Also among the demands of the protesters are the dismissal of the heads of the Ministry of Social Policy, the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy, the Ministry of Veterans’ Affairs and the fight against the “humiliation of honor and dignity” of participants in the conflict in Afghanistan.
