The Russian-Chinese exercise in the Sea of ​​Japan took place from October 14 to 17. During the maneuvers, sailors from Russia and China performed more than 20 different combat exercises, such as joint tactical maneuvering, anti-mine support of detachments, and others.

“As part of the air defense training of the detachment, the ships counteracted the multifunctional Su-30SM fighters of the Air Force and Air Defense Army of the Eastern Military District and the Pacific Fleet naval aviation helicopters,” the Russian Defense Ministry said.

At the final stage of the exercise, the ships of the Russian Navy and the Chinese Navy, with the support of anti-submarine aircraft, found and blocked a mock enemy submarine in the designated area.
