North Korea to test long-range ballistic missiles in 2022

The DPRK may resume testing of long-range ballistic missiles next year, writes Kyodo News, citing a report from the US Defense Intelligence Agency.

“It is possible that in 2022 we will be able to see a long-range missile test,” the document says.

North Korea is reportedly working to improve new solid-propellant ballistic missiles that can be prepared to launch faster than liquid-fueled missiles.

“Kim Jong-un pushed his country to develop nuclear weapons and combine them with ballistic missiles that could reach South Korea, Japan and the United States,” the report said.

Pyongyang’s last ICBM test was in November 2017. Such a missile is capable of delivering a nuclear warhead to the continental part of America
