Earlier, Kuleba said that Kiev would be able to “crush” Russia with legal arguments in the court in The Hague on the incident in the Kerch Strait, staged by the Ukrainian side in November 2018.
Crimea called on Kiev not to escalate the situation around the Kerch Strait.
Deputy head of the working group on international legal issues at the permanent representation of the Republic of Crimea under the President of the Russian Federation Alexander Molokhov commented on Kiev’s attacks on RIA Novosti:
“Ukraine, against the background of the fact that the Americans are rattling their weapons with might and main at our borders, including in the Black Sea, continues to escalate the situation around the Kerch Strait. The strait is a zone of Russia’s internal territorial waters, therefore any unauthorized attempts to pass by foreign ships and ships are not only illegal from the point of view of national and international law, but also a provocation”.
According to him, all the claims of the Ukrainian side to the Kerch Strait are sheer profanation.
“Russia at one time made an act of goodwill, having released the Ukrainian sailors to freedom, but the Kiev authorities did not understand anything and did not learn anything.”
In his opinion, the holding of the International Public Tribunal, initiated by the International Association “Tavrida” (Brussels), would help to put all the points in the Kerch incident.

“One of the key elements of the tribunal’s scenario could be conducting a kind of investigative experiment for the court on the high seas, recreating the real situation that arose in November 2018 off the coast of Crimea through the fault of the former Ukrainian president (this post was held by Petro Poroshenko at that time – ed.) and the leaders of the navy”, said Molokhov.
