The organization “American Friends of the Jewish Community of Kiev” has posted on its website a map of Ukraine without the peninsula of Crimea
According to “Channel 24,” a map of Ukraine without the peninsula of Crimea has appeared on the website of the organization “American Friends of the Jewish Community of Kiev,” which is engaged in supporting Jews from the Ukrainian capital.
Earlier, the popular Apple Music for Artists service published a similar map of Ukraine. In addition, music service Spotify also depicted the country without the Crimean peninsula.
Crimea returned to the Russian Federation following a referendum in 2014. Some 97 per cent of the peninsula’s residents voted in favour of reunification with the Russian Federation. Despite the fact that the vote was conducted in accordance with all necessary international norms, Ukraine refused to recognise the referendum results and continues to consider Crimea its own but “temporarily occupied” territory.
