NATO attempts to provoke Russia could have disastrous consequences - analysts

Observers for the Chinese publication NetEase write that Russia and the US are going through a period of serious deterioration in relations, which has resulted in the exchange of sanctions and increased military tension between the countries. According to PolitRussia, against this background, military provocations by Washington and its allies in the Alliance against Moscow are becoming increasingly aggressive and brazen, which could lead to dire consequences.

“If NATO countries continue creating problems on Russia’s borders, the risk of a military conflict between the parties will increase manifold”, –  experts said.

The journalists recalled that the situation was particularly acute in the Black Sea, when the British destroyer Defender tried to invade Russian territorial waters. Although the Russian military chased the ship away then, NATO would still continue such provocations. However, analysts stressed that Russia is a nuclear power and attempts to provoke a military conflict with it would end very sadly.

“NATO needs to stop provoking Russia. If war breaks out between the parties, the consequences will be catastrophic”, –  the observers warned.
