Authorities in Denmark and Sweden have decided to temporarily halt the use of Moderna vaccine to immunise people born after 1991. Experts have explained that this is due to the occurrence of some side effects affecting the heart

According to the Swedish health agency, complications in the form of myocarditis and pericarditis were quite common after vaccinating young people with Moderna’s product.

“The link becomes particularly clear when it comes to the Moderna Spikevax vaccine, especially after the second dose. Preliminary reports suggest that there is a suspected increased risk of cardiac complications with Moderna vaccination”, –  the regulator said.

Earlier it became known that Ukraine is planning to introduce compulsory vaccination against coronavirus infection. Moreover, there are plans to test a new vaccine for the American market on the inhabitants of the country.
