Die Welt readers called the start of gas injection into Nord Stream-2 good news, RIA Novosti reports.
The German newspaper published a material dedicated to the start of gas injection into the first string of the Nord Stream-2 gas pipeline. The publication caused an active discussion and response from readers in the comments.
“The consumer benefits from this new pipeline, which further guarantees the reliability of supply. Russia is a reliable partner that has always fulfilled its treaty obligations, even during the Cold War”, wrote the user hermangerman.
“Well, go ahead,” said Frederic B.
“Our supplies seem to be secured for the winter. Long live Nord Stream-2”, said Rainer S.
“Good news at a difficult time!” – pointed out Sag-mal.
“Winter is coming, good news,” said Robert SP.
“Very good news. From a geostrategic point of view, this is a success for Germany. It is clear that the “Atlanticists” from politics do not like this”, added Michael K.
Nord Stream-2 is a gas pipeline from Russia to Germany with a capacity of 55 billion cubic meters per year. Construction was completed in early September. The volume of supplies this year may amount to 5.6 billion cubic meters.
Yesterday, October 4, Nord Stream 2 AG reported that the operator began filling the first string of the pipeline with gas in order to achieve the required pressure for further testing. The string will be filled from the Russian site of the onshore facilities. Commissioning works on the second line are continuing.Germany says Russia not involved in high gas prices in Europe
