Russian Senator Alexei Pushkov commented on the act of vandalism against the sculpture of African-American George Floyd, who died last year
“To impose Floyd on the world – and on many Americans – as a new American deity will not succeed: the gap between the insignificance of the character and the ideological pedestal on which they want to place him is too great”, – Pushkov wrote in his Telegram channel.
The politician recalled that the victim of “racism and hatred was Martin Luther King. According to Pushkov, Floyd, who used drugs, repeatedly broke the law and left his family behind, cannot become a “victim of racism”.
Poland talks about loss of US interest in NATO
“There has probably never before in US history been such an obvious disconnect between the insignificance of the character and the ‘greatness’ of the image they are trying to create for him. The farcical, fake statue wants to be the new American pagan god. But it’s unlikely to succeed”, – concluded the senator.
