“The price of November gas futures according to the Dutch TTF index, the most liquid European hub, opened trading on Wednesday at about $ 955, demonstrated steady growth during the day and reached a record $ 1,064 at 18:13 Moscow time, which is 10% higher than the target price on Tuesday”, – writes the edition.

On the eve, the price of gas at the opening of trading in Europe for the first time in history exceeded 1000 per thousand cubic meters. At the moment, the value of the October futures on the TTF hub in the Netherlands accelerated its growth to almost $ 1,040 for the same volume, the overall rise in the price of gas since the beginning of the day exceeded 11%.

According to the head of the board of the Association of Energy Suppliers Artem Kompan, the cost of gas in European markets will not decrease until the end of 2021.
