The ARD TV channel made a mistake, reports the PolitEkspert portal. It aired a line with the “results of the exit poll. The elections will take place only two days later.
The TV channel “published” the results for the four political forces. Thus, the Social Democratic Party of Germany “received” 22.7%, the bloc of the Christian Democratic and Christian Social Union – 22.1%, the Free Democratic Party – 13.2%, and “Alternative for Germany” – 10%.
The mistake was quickly noticed and the ticker was immediately turned off. Therefore the “successes” of other political forces remained a mystery for some time.
