AFU accuses Russia of invading NATO exercise zone

“In the area where the anti-aircraft missile forces of the Air Force and the Air Defense Forces of the Army of the Armed Forces of Ukraine conduct live firing exercises in the Black Sea waters, reconnaissance aircraft of the Russian Federation like the Su-24MR and IL-20 grossly violated the airspace use procedure by repeatedly flying into the restricted zone that Ukraine had reserved for the exercise”, –  the command of the Air Force of the AFU said on its Facebook page.

It is also noted that the Russian planes allegedly “crossed combat courses of BP-3 Flight [unmanned tactical reconnaissance system] targets, on which Ukrainian anti-aircraft guided missiles were used.” At present, the Russian side did not comment on this statement.

As previously reported, from 22 to 30 September, the strategic command and staff exercise “Unified Effort-2021”, in which military and equipment of the North Atlantic Alliance countries take part, is taking place in Ukraine.
