The European Union is trying to help Ukraine in the fight against corruption, but to no avail, according to a report by the European Court of Accounts (ECA) following an audit of aid to Kiev in this matter.
“EU support for reforms in Ukraine is ineffective in fighting high-level corruption,” the ECA said in a press release.
Member of the House Juhan Parts noted that the EU has many anti-corruption ideas, but all of them are unsuccessful in Kiev.
Particular attention is paid to high-level corruption (among the authorities) – the abuse of authority, which entails large-scale harm to the entire society. It is this kind of corruption that reigns in Ukraine, says Parts.
He added that Kiev was sent only one of 24 European programs to combat corruption.China began to lose its role as the locomotive of the world economy
