According to TASS, fighter jets and helicopters of the Israel Defense Forces launched strikes on military targets of the radical Hamas movement in the Gaza Strip on Sunday in response to the launch of a rocket into Israeli territory on Saturday evening.

“Israel Defense Forces fighters and helicopters attacked several targets of the Hamas terrorist organization in the Gaza Strip, including underground missile workshops, a military training camp, a military base with an arms depot, and the organization’s sabotage tunnel. The night attacks were carried out in response to rocket attacks on Israeli territory the day before”, the army press service said.

On the evening of September 11, Palestinian radicals from the Gaza Strip fired one missile at Israeli territory, it was intercepted by the Iron Dome air defense system, the army press service reported earlier. The military indicated that air defense sirens sounded in the city of Sderot and areas bordering the Palestinian enclave as a result of the shelling. The previous time, radicals from Gaza fired one missile at the territory of the Jewish state on September 10, it was also intercepted with the help of the Iron Dome.
