According to the Moldovan president, parliamentary elections are approaching in Russia and “now is not the time for visits.”
According to ЕАdaily, Moldovan President Maia Sandu is not ready to go to Moscow on an official visit. She announced this on the air of the PRO TV channel. Sandu noted that the topicality of the meeting with Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin remains, but the agenda of the consultations requires additional good preparation.
“So far, the visit to Moscow is not planned, as it must be prepared, and for this we still need to work,” said Maia Sandu.
We will remind, earlier the President of Moldova said that after the formation of the new government of the country, the authorities need to establish cooperation with Russia. Sandu said that her country wants to have “good relations with both the West and the East.”
“We are interested in a pragmatic substantive conversation. We have a specific agenda on the issues that we must solve”, stated the President of the Republic of Moldova.
