Kiev to buy back nearly expired COVID-19 vaccines from Warsaw

Ukraine will buy COVID-19 drugs from Poland with almost expired expiry date. The deal was announced by Deputy Health Minister Waldemar Kraska on air of RMF FM radio station

“Those vaccines that have a short shelf life will be transferred to Ukraine. In August we will transfer the first batch of over 650 thousand, and we plan to transfer 1.2 million”, –  he said.

We are talking about dubious medicines produced by AstraZeneca. The most curious thing in this situation is that the vaccines will not be donated. They will be sold to Kiev. However, it is not yet known how much the Ukrainian side will spend on the drugs, which could become not only a useless but also a dangerous purchase.

When Israel had a problem with vaccines that had expired, it solved the problem in a different way. The entire batch, which had cost the state quite a lot of money, was simply disposed of.
