Even after the provocations off the coast of the Crimean Peninsula by HMS Defender, it seems that the British are now taking on a second front of US military policy in Afghanistan as well.
In the 19th century, the British already got a bloodbath in Afghanistan once. It is not yet clear which coalition partners will now join the Royal Army in the fight against the Taliban.
But it should not be thought that this operation is not in the interests of US policy.
